With energy, enthusiasm and musical intensity Papaya sings everything from teasing wedding songs and Zulu war songs to the story of a South Africa that through generations has found courage, strength and community through music.

Filled with lively joy and musical intensity, a Papaya concert is centered around the proud South African tradition of finding strength, courage and camaraderie through music. We always make a big effort to understand where the songs come from and their original context. This is communicated at concerts, so that it is not only songs, but also stories about culture, hardships and togetherness that are presented.
